64 PRICE STREET, SUBIACO_
Price Street is one of the last development sites in the Subiaco Redevelopment Area, and the only parcel of vacant land fronting Subiaco Common a 3-hectare landscaped park that is the centrepiece of the Subi Centro Precinct. The site represents one of the last opportunities to realise the vision of the Australian Fine China Precinct being high-quality design, celebration of the rich industrial heritage of the site, and implementation of exemplary sustainability outcomes.
Following acquisition of the site, ADC has assembled a project team with experience in delivering exemplar development outcomes in place-responsive design, heritage interpretation and sustainability.
The collaboration between Melbourne-based Breathe Architects (Australia’s most awarded sustainable architecture and design firm) and Nic Brunsdon (one of WA and Australia’s leading architects) brings together two innovative architectural firms that combine the industry leading outcomes from a highly-mature apartment market with a deep knowledge and appreciation for the Western Australian context. This design team is further supported by a project team comprised of MALA Studio (landscape), Philip Griffiths Heritage, Hatch RobertsDay (planning), and Art/Theory (public art).
The result has led to a highly place-responsive design that delivers on the vision and objectives of the precinct, with improved built form, heritage and sustainability outcomes that future residents will continue to benefit from during the buildings operation in the years ahead.
